Behind the scenes - Costume

These are the characters outfits for our film. We had to make sure the characters wore the same clothes every time we filmed, this was because all the events happened in one day. Harriet and Alex costumes had to be every day clothes. This is because they are in a school so would be wearing plain simple clothes. Harriet had to wear a hat in the film because she was planning on dying her hair whilst we was filming. We were not able to had some scenes with brown hair and then another scene with pink hair as all the events happened in one day and no one is capable of dying their hair at school!
Sammie - Jo's outfit as you can see was all black. We wanted her dressed in all black because it creates mystery and it is the typical colour antagonists wear. This was so we could contain her identity.

Behind the scenes - Make up

The antagonists make up included black paint. This covered her hands. We chose to do this because at the start we thought we would use black gloves but when we came to film nobody had any. We decided to improvise and use black pain instead. This actually made the hands look very effective and looked better than they would have if the antagonist had gloves on.

This was the process for creating Harriet's cut to her head. There was many different products used such as fake blood, liquid latex and red face paint. Paige Norris was the person that done this make p on Harriet. We thought by having a cut on Harriet's head would make the film more exciting and intense. This will make that audience question how did she get this cut on her head and why would she have got it. This special effects make up really makes our film. It also creates a massive cliff hanger as when you see Harriet lying on the floor with this cut the opening of the film ends.

Filming Diary - Day 5

This was the last day of filming. This was one of the most important days as this scene was the ending scene and the one that had the most thought into it. This was where Harriet was lying on the toilet floor unconscious/dead. We had special effect make - up put on Harriet to make it look more realistic. We filmed her lying on the floor from different angles as we didn't want to show the cut on her head straight away. We managed to drag this scene out by panning up from different angles on her body before we got up to her head. We filmed one close up of the cut to show the detail of it and the rest were quite distance to build up suspense. This didn't take us too long to filmed because we knew what we wanted the shots and scene too look like so we just got on with it and manage to film it within an hour.

Filming Diary - Day 4

On the fourth day we filmed Alex (typical best-friend). This was the scene where Alex was socialising. This includes some other people in the scene. We filmed Alex calling Harriet to find out where she was. We filmed a lose up of his phone to show the audience who he was calling. This scene included talking so we had to make sure the actors were talking loud enough. This was a slight problem as they did not speak loud enough for the first few takes but in the end we managed to get in right. The next scene we filmed with Alex was him walking out of the room. We filmed this from different angles as well and as he was walking down the corridor we had him call Harriet again as he doesn't know where Harriet is to whats happened to her but the audience do so it creates more tension.

Filming Diary - Day 3

On the third day we filmed part of the toilet scene. This included Harriet walking into the toilets. We filmed this scene through the mirror. This made it look very effective because we could also see Sammie - Jo standing in the corner in the background. But only the audience was able to see Sammie -Jo not Harriet. Most of this day filming was trying to angle the camera correctly in the mirror so we didn't include any irrelevant content that we didn't need and so we could see both Harriet and Sammie - Jo. This as all we filmed. The mirror scenes took a long time and we didn't want to rush them so we took our time trying to get it right so it looked as good as we could make it.

Filming Diary - Day 2

On the second day of filming we got quite a lot done. This filming was focused on Harriet (victim) and Sammie - Jo (antagonist). The first part we filmed was Harriet walking down the stairs and out the building. Yet again we had to film this quite a few times as we wanted to get the best angle possible to make sure our film looked as good as it could. Sammie - Jo was in these scenes but you did not see much of her. We wanted to make sure we didn't show much of the antagonist. This was because we wanted to build tension and suspense to keep the audience guessing who she is and what is she doing. We shot the outside scene a lot because timing was quite an issue. This was because we wanted to get a shot of Harriet walking out the door so we had to stand outside with the camera. This meant Harriet had to guess when to walk out as we were not able to tell her when to start walking. In the end we managed to get the shot after many attempts.

Filming Diary - Day 1

On day one we filmed the first scene. This scene included Harriet (victim) in an ICT room completing some work. We filmed this shot/scene from many different angles as we wanted to see which one looked the most effective. This took a bit of time but not too long. We thought by filming it from different angles it would give the audience a good idea of what type of environment the victim is in and a feel of the location we will be filming but with not giving away too much information. We then moved on to filming her walking down the corridor. This was all we were able to get done as we only have an hour for this filming slot.
